Merit Day 2026 Celebrated with Grandeur at College of Applied Science, Vadakkenchery
College of Applied Science, Vadakkenchery celebrated Excelon (Merit Day 2026) with great enthusiasm and pride, honouring the remarkable achievements of students in academics, co-curricular activities, and community service. The programme served as a platform to recognize and appreciate the dedication, perseverance, and excellence of the students who brought laurels to the institution.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Subi T. S., Principal, CAS Ayalur. The programme was further enriched by inspiring addresses from Dr. Jayamohan M., Principal, Mr. Unnikrishnan R., PTA Vice-President, and Dr. Sanitha, Government Law College, Kozhikode, who delivered the keynote address and motivated the students to continue striving for excellence.
The gathering also witnessed felicitations from Ms. Gisha Thankachy M. S., IQAC Coordinator, Mr. Velayudhan R. and Mr. Govindankutty V., PTA Executive Members, and Ms. Neha Balakrishnan, College Union Representative. Their words of appreciation highlighted the importance of consistent effort, discipline, and active participation in shaping successful and responsible individuals.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony remained the central highlight of the celebration. Top rankers in the Calicut University even-semester examinations, winners of various Standard Club competitions, and outstanding NSS volunteers were recognized and honoured for their accomplishments. The achievements celebrated during the programme reflected not only academic excellence but also the students’ active involvement in extracurricular activities and social service.
Adding colour and energy to the occasion, the Fine Arts Club presented a vibrant welcome dance and musical performance. The celebration also featured an Awardees' Note by Ms. Bijili Suresh and Sriyesh R., providing an opportunity to reflect on the significance of achievement and the journey behind every success.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Jamsheer P. M., expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, parents, organizers, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
